BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Due to a water main break in the city of Houston, Rice University is advising teams and fans attending this weekend’s women’s collegiate club Texas Division weekend on Saturday-Sunday, February 29-March 1, to be aware of a boil water advisory issued to the city.

Due to the large water main break in the city, Rice is under a boil-water advisory. In light of this situation, Rice is advising everyone coming into the city of Houston this weekend to bring bottled drinking water. The facilities showers are operational and ok, but all drinking water sources (fountains, tap, etc) will need to be boiled before consumption.

The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) and Rice strongly advise all teams/fans/officials at this weekend’s tournament to purchase and bring bottled water and supplies with them to the site as supplies in the Houston metro area will likely be in high demand and short supply.
