2026 Harvard University Men’s Water Polo Schedule
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard University men’s water polo team released its complete 2026 season schedule, which begins August 29. The Crimson open the season by hosting part of the Bruno Classic and playing four matches over the weekend of August 29-30.
Overall, the schedule features 30 regular season matches, 12 at Blodgett Pool and two home tournaments. Harvard’s second home tournament will be the Harvard Invitational on October 17-18.
The season opener occurs versus California Baptist University (August 29) followed by a match later that day against the United States Air Force Academy.. The remaining matches of the Bruno Classic are against University of the Pacific and Wagner College (August 30).
Tournament season continues on the West Coast with the Aggie Roundup at the University of California-Davis. Harvard plays San Jose State University and the University of California on September 5 before facing the host Aggies on September 6.
Traveling back to the East Coast, the Crimson play back-to-back tournaments at Princeton University (September 12-13) and Brown University (September 26). In New Jersey, Harvard has a rematch with San Jose State and then plays Santa Clara University on September 12. A day later, the Crimson faces the United States Naval Academy on September 13. At Brown, Harvard contests a triple-header against Concordia University, Johns Hopkins University and Wheaton College on September 26.
October begins with three Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) road matches, starting at Princeton (October 3) in the conference opener. The next day, the Crimson start at Long Island University before completing a morning-afternoon doubleheader with a match at Iona University on October 4.
Harvard returns home for a single match against Brown (October 10) before going across Cambridge to visit the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (October 11). The Harvard Invitational is the following weekend with an October 17 doubleheader against Navy and the University of California-Merced followed by a match against Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (October 18).
The Crimson make one final regular season trip out west for the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament, hosted by Santa Clara University on October 23-25. The weekend features matches against Pacific (October 23), Pepperdine University (October 24), UC-Davis (October 24) and the host Broncos (October 25).
Conference play resumes at Brown (October 31) and continues with a home match against MIT (November 1). A week later, Harvard hosts a November 7 doubleheader with Princeton and Long Island before concluding the regular season against Iona (November 8).
Harvard will compete one final weekend at home as the Crimson will host the NWPC Championship on November 20-22 with the victor advancing into the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship field at the University of California-San Diego on December 4-6.
The Crimson are led by The Friends of Harvard Water Polo head coach Ted Minnis, who enters his 17th season at the helm of the program. Harvard is coming off a 20-10 season and 9-1 showing in the NWPC season with an appearance in the title game.
