PROVIDENCE – R.I. — The No. 22-ranked Brown University women’s water polo team started day one of its 2026 Bruno Classic with a 16-3 defeat of No. 25 Long Island University.
The Bears started off the first half of the game strong with a 7-1 lead against the Sharks. Madeleine Poissonnier, Sofia Holman and Aubrie Anderson each scored three goals with Alexandra Love adding a pair.
In goal, Somto Okafo posted 14 saves, while Sarah Decker blocked two more Sharks’ shots.
