BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Isabella (Bella) Boccia (Jr., Louisville, Ky./Laguna Hills) of No. 7-ranked Lindenwood University posted 16 goals, three assists, four ejections drawn with a pair of five-meter fouls, a steal and a field block in 56 minutes of action during a 4-0 weekend for the Lions in league action at Ohio University’s OU Aquatic Center in Athens, Ohio, to earn recognition as the February 24 Women’s Collegiate Club Midwest Division Player of the Week.
She scored four times in an 8-3 defeat of the University of Notre Dame prior to finding the back of the cage twice in a 23-3 handling of Miami University. Facing Ohio (18-4 W) and the University of Cincinnati (10-4 W), Boccia buried five markers in both contests.
