WASHINGTON, Pa. — Mercyhurst University fell to both Augustana College, 22-7, and the University of Toronto, 18-7, on the first day of the 2022 Washington & Jefferson College Invitational II.
Danilo Vujovic scored four times to lead the way for the Lakers versus Augustana, while Vujovic and Teagan Thomas accounted for three and two goals, respectively, in the defeat by Toronto.
Mercyhurst head coach Petar Momcilovic noted, “It was a tough weekend. We were three starters short due to health reasons. We also suffered two injuries after the first game. But the team came together and gave it everything they had with limited numbers. It was good experience as we continue to grow as a team and showed we have more to offer at full strength.”
