PROVIDENCE, R.I. The No. 10-ranked Harvard University men’s water polo team defeated host Brown University, 12-5, in its first match of the weekend. The Crimson is now 13-0 on the season and 4-0 in conference play.

Junior Bruno Snow led Harvard in scoring with three goals, tying a career high. Senior captains Charlie Owens and Austin Sechrest and sophomore Alex Tsotadze contributed two goals to the Crimson’s victory, while sophomore Michael Sonsini dished out three assists. In goal, sophomore Noah Hodge recorded a total of 13 saves and blocked a penalty shot. Hodge also got on the scoresheet with two steals and an assist.

After jumping out to an early one goal lead to start the game, Brown matched the Crimson goal-for-goal and a successful penalty shot by Tsotadze tied it up at two after the first quarter. Snow went on two score two in a row in the second quarter to give the Crimson a 5-3 lead and Brown trailed for the rest of the match.

Hodge held Brown scoreless in the fourth quarter as the Crimson rolled to a win.
