No. 12 Texas A&M University-vs.-University of Alabama Scoresheet (2025 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship – Game #27/Third Place)

CARLISLE, Pa. — Texas Division Champion/No. 12-ranked Texas A&M University never trailed as the Aggies built a 7-3 lead by halftime and held off a resilient Southeast Division Champion University of Alabama squad, 11-10, in the 2025 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship Third Place game held at the Carlisle YMCA Aquatic Center.

Texas A&M – which previously placed Seventh (2024), Ninth (2008), 13th (2007, 2016) and 15th (2001, 2002) – posts the team’s all-time best finish at the Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship and falls one place off the division’s all-time best mark of Second Place established in 2010 and 2017 by the University of Texas.

Alabama claims Fourth Place in the final 30-game, 16-team championship as the Crimson Tide previously earned 11th (2022), 13th (2021, 2023) and 15th (2017, 2018) place finishes in the team’s five prior trips to the National Collegiate Club Championship since 2017.

Texas A&M raced out to 2-0 and 4-2 margins in the first quarter prior to building its lead to 7-3 by halftime.  Following the break, the Crimson Tide chipped their deficit down to 8-6 with 2:27 left in the third quarter prior to the Aggies adding an insurance strike with 1:03 on the clock to keep Alabama at arm’s length by a 9-6 count.

The Crimson Tide attempted to climb back into the game during the fourth quarter by moving within 9-8 (4:59) and 10-9 (3:32) prior to once again closing within one by an 11-10 count at the 1:29 mark.  Texas A&M’s defense stiffened, however, as the Aggies held off the Tide down the stretch to escape with a one-goal win.

Leyton Kraft (Sr., Pearland, Texas) notched Player of the Game status by scoring four times for Texas A&M.  Alexander Hirjoi (Gr., Elk Grove Village, Ill.) and Roman Rosser (Gr, San Diego, Calif.) put away pairs of goals with Travis Thames (So., Pearland, Texas), Mason Mote (Jr., Houston, Texas) and Logan Kraft (So., Pearland, Texas) accounting for solo tallies.

Goalkeepers John Pawsat (So., Houston, Texas) (nine) and Edward Chang (Sr., Houston, Texas) (three) combined for 12 saves.

Michael Dilascia (Sr, Greenwich, Conn.) posted a game-high six goals for Alabama with Will Rigazzi (Jr., Virginia Beach, Va.) tacking on a pair.  Landon Kenney (Fr., Pleasanton, Calif.) and John Bryner (So., Columbus, Ohio) contributed single strikes to support a 12 save performance by goalkeeper Aaron Rivera (Fr., Elmhurst, Ill.).
