EMMITSBURG, Md. — The No. 20-ranked Princeton University Tigers received scoring from 11 players to dispose of host Mount St. Mary’s University, 22-8, in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) women’s league action.

The 22 goals by head coach Derek Ellingson‘s squad’s mark the most by the Princeton program since it registered a 23-3 defeat of Indiana University of Pennsylvania at Pennsylvania State University on April 5, 1997 during the inaugural year of competition for the Tigers.

The Tigers started off quickly with 10 goals in the first quarter and led 11-5 at halftime. Princeton began the second half with a 5-1 push to go ahead by 10, 16-6, and were not threatened the rest of the way.

Kaila Carroll led the Tigers with six goals, while Jovana Sekulic added four. Carroll’s six tallies are the most since Amy Castellano put up a double hat trick in February of 2020.

Rachael Carver netted a hat-trick with three goals, while Meera Burghardt deposited a pair.  Grace Houlahan, Annie Robinson, CiCi Stewart, Delainey Whelan, Mindy Pang, Kate Mallery and Jamie Kim added single goals in support of a six save performance by Isabel Zaller.
