BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Billy Motherway (So., Santa Ana, Calif./Mater Dei) of No. 18-ranked Princeton University made 17 saves during a 10-6 defeat of Iona College on the road in New Rochelle, N.Y., to earn recognition as the October 14 Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) Defensive Player of the Week.

The sophomore held the Gaels without a goal over the final 12:50 of the game to lead the Tigers to victory.

The honor marks his sixth weekly accolade from the league office as Motherway claimed a pair of Rookie of the Week (September 3, November 19) and three Defensive Player of the Week (October 15, November 19, November 26) laurels as a freshman in 2018.
