BLOOMSBURG, Ind. — The Red Flash of Saint Francis University defeated Division III No. 10-ranked Occidental College, 16-5, and dropped a 27-14 contest against No. 13 Wagner College on the final day of the Indiana Classic hosted by Indiana University.
Taking on Occidental, Saint Francis scored in bunches during this contest with Emese Szucs leading the way with three goals.
The Red Flash had four players score two goals including Kimberly Frostad,Haiden Lang,Abigail Carter and Aubrey Miller.
Saint Francis had 13 total assists during this matchup with Addison Williams and Caylah Olay leading the team with three.
Grace Raquel started at goalie and recorded two saves and also pitched in an assist to help the Red Flash offense.
Taylor Halbauer had an offensive day to remember against Wagner as she posted five goals and also had a team-leading six assists for the Red Flash.
Szucs also spearheaded the offensive attack with Halbauer as she notched four goals along with four assists in the afternoon matchup.
The first half was very tightly contested as the Red Flash trailed 12-11 at halftime, but a 15-3 advantage for Wagner in the second half sealed the game.
Raquel got the start in between the pipes as she recorded four saves and has now started eight straight games for the Red Flash.
