BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Annie Ly (Sr., Morgan Hill, Calif./Ann Sobrato) of No. 7-ranked San Diego State University “A” tallied five goals, seven assists, eight steals and four field blocks over the span of a 3-0 weekend for the Aztecs during a successful title run at the 2025 Women’s Collegiate Club Southwest Division Championship hosted in La Jolla, Calif., by the University of California-San Diego. For her performance, Ly is named the March 3 Southwest Division Player of the Week.
The No. 2 seed for the championship on Saturday-Sunday, March 1-2, SDSU “A” picked up victories over the University of Arizona (22-6 W), San Diego State “B” (24-7 W) and host/top seed/No. 2-ranked the University of California-San Diego “A” (10-9 W) to claim the Southwest Division crown and a bid to the 2025 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship hosted by Colby College in Waterville, Maine, on Friday-Sunday, April 11-13.
