BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY — The St. Francis College Brooklyn Athletics Department has announced that the men’s water polo team will forgo competition during the 2020-21 academic year. The decision was made after an extensive review of competitive options was conducted by the Department of Athletics.

“Given the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that several teams in the Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) will not be competing, we have determined that it is in the best interest of our men’s water polo program to forego competition this academic year. The health, safety, and wellness of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff will always be our top priority as we strive to give our student-athletes a premier Division I experience. We are looking forward to the future and are excited about the team competing in seasons ahead,” said Director of Athletics Irma Garcia.
