BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Natalie Kaplanyan (So., Glendale, Calif./Flintridge Preparatory School) and Kayleigh Dennen (So., Pleasanton, Calif./Foothill) combined for 23 goals, 13 assists, 15 steals and a field block during a 4-0 weekend at home in La Jolla, Calif., to share recognition as the April 17 Women’s Collegiate Club Southwest Division Player of the Week.

Kaplanyan – who posted 13 goals, eight assists, eight steals and a field block – and Dennen – who added 10 goals, five assists and seven steals – helped the Tritons “A” team defeat the University of Arizona (20-2 W), the University of California-Irvine (20-3 W), San Diego State University “B” (18-4 W) and San Diego State University “A” (11-6 W) to cap off a 5-1 regular season and clinch the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Southwest Division Championship at San Diego State on Saturday-Sunday, April 22-23.

Facing SDSU “A” in the final game of the weekend, Kaplanyan (five) and Dennen (two) combined for seven of their team’s 11 goals.  Further, Kaplanyan added a pair of ejections drawn and Dennen drew a five-meter penalty shot to help the Tritons complete a perfect weekend.
