BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — United States Naval Academy head water polo coach Luis Nicoalo announced the selection of Connor Cashman (Annapolis, Md./McDonogh) as team captain for the Midshipmen during the upcoming 2026 season.
The rising senior will lead his hometown squad after compiling 44 goals, 29 assists, 23 ejections drawn and 23 steals in 63 games over the past three seasons to help Navy in posting second (2023, 2024) and third (2025) place finishes at the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Championship. He is coming off his best season for the Blue & Gold with 25 goals 13 assists, 14 steals and eight ejections drawn in 26 games. During his three-year tenure in Annapolis, Navy has notched 21-6 (2023), 22-10 (2024) and 22-9 (2025) marks for the first 20-victory seasons in program history since the 2005-to-12 squads achieved the feat.
