2023 Women’s Collegiate Club North Atlantic Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2023 Women’s Collegiate Club North Atlantic Division schedule.

Featuring Bates College, Bowdoin College, Colby College, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Middlebury College, Tufts University, the United States Coast Guard Academy, Wellesley College and Yale University, the nine-team division will contest a trio of regular season tournaments at Bowdoin in Brunswick, Maine (Saturday-Sunday, February 25-26 /Saturday-Sunday, April 15-16) and Middlebury in Middlebury, Vt. (Saturday-Sunday, March 4-5) prior to the division championship on Saturday-Sunday, April 22-23, at MIT in Cambridge, Mass.

In the history of the division, MIT (2005, 2006, 2007, 2017, 2019, 2022), Boston College (2008, 2009), Middlebury (2010, 2011), Bowdoin (2012, 2014), Yale (2013, 2016), Boston University (2015) and Tufts (2018) have previously captured North Atlantic Division titles.  A division champion was not crowned during either the 2020 or 2021 seasons due to the COVID-19 pandemic terminating the completion and start of the campaigns, respectively.

Competition begins on February 25-26 at Bowdoin with a 10-game event prior to Middlebury hosting 10 games on March 4-5.  The regular season comes to a close on April 15-16 at Bowdoin with 16 games to establish the final seeding for the 15-game North Atlantic Division Championship on April 22-23 at MIT.

The victor of the North Atlantic Division Championship earns the group’s automatic berth to the 2023 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, May 5-7, at a site to be determined.
