BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Mia Stitt (Jr., Gig Harbor, Wash./Peninsula) of the University of Washington “A” accounted for six goals over the span of a 4-0 weekend for the Huskies in Women’s Collegiate Club Northwest Division regular season competition.  For her performance, Stitt picks up the division’s March 2 Player of the Week award.

Competing at Willamalane Park Swim Center in Springfield, Ore., during the final weekend of Northwest Division regular season action, she posted solo tallies in victories over the University of Oregon “B” (14-1 W), Oregon State University “A” (10-6 W) and Oregon State University “B” (14-0 W) on Saturday, February 28, prior to chipping in a trio of scores in a 13-6 defeat of No. 15-ranked the University of Oregon “A” on Sunday, March 1.

The victory over Oregon “A” avenged a 6-5 sudden victory overtime loss to the Ducks on February 7 at Oregon State in Corvallis, Ore., and provided Washington a championship seeding tiebreaker.  Due to both teams finishing the regular season with 7-1 records, the tie for the regular season championship and No. 1 seed for the Northwest Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, April 11-12, at Rogers High School in Puyallup, Wash., is broken by goal differential.  Due to holding a +6 differential, the Huskies claim the regular season crown and top seed for the division championship.
